ESSEX FAMILY FORUM ARE RECRUITING:

Vacancies are for: 2 x part Time Development Worker.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: To support the development & growth of the Essex Family Forum, the Essex wide parent carer forum. Your work will be directed by the Essex Family Forum Management Committee (MC) as part of delivering their work programme and you will report to them.

VACANCIES:

Development worker 1:  To lead on Family Champion & Volunteer Recruitment.

As a development worker we will be asking you to initially focus on the recruitment and growth of our members & volunteers. You will produce, plan & deliver training as required, organise, book and deliver our roadshow visiting schools, groups & coffee mornings across Essex. You will be expected to manage our Family campion hub online communicating and liaising with our volunteers, maintaining and developing the forums database of volunteers and matching them to suitable areas of interest and experience. Development worker 2:  To lead on Forum & parent/carer participation & co production.

As a development Worker we will be asking you to initially focus on implementing the forum’s participation and co-production. Having the responsibility for organising & arranging our involvement in projects, workshops and focus groups, you will be expected to liaise with volunteers, parent/carers and service providers to ensure we have representation and are able to attend where needed. You will be making new contacts & building relationships, maintaining  the forums database for participation and co-production and developing the process as we grow. Each vacancy is for:

Hours: 16 hours per week, flexible working Mon – Friday, with core hours to be agreed.

Rate: £13.00 per hour, plus reasonable travel expenses and mileage can be paid at HMRC standard rate of 45p per mile.

The person(s) fulfilling the development worker role(s) will be on a short-term contract for up to 12 months, will work on a self-employed basis and will need to invoice at the end of each calendar month. Driving licence and access to own transport are essential. Access to a Laptop & mobile phone will be provided for work use.
