Here we are again!

This is where we hope to keep you all updated on the latest position for SEND families in Essex and on a national level during England’s third National Lockdown.

As of today, 6th January 2021, we can advise that government guidance states that children with Education Health and Care Plans fall within the Department of Education’s definition of “vulnerable children” and as such are allowed to attend their educational setting.   However, this does need to be balanced with the school’s staffing levels and availability to support pupils and updated risk assessments on a safe working environment within settings.

We have also updated our Graffiti so you can share your experiences of this latest National Lockdown.    If you have any urgent concerns please contact us at backtoschool@essexfamilyforum.org
