Upcoming Events

We have opportunities coming up for us to meet with you, either virtually or face to face!  Take a look below to see if there is anything you’d like to attend.

You can also catch us at the SEND Roadshows.  Pop in anytime between 9am-12pm

As your Parent Carer Forum in Essex, we try to make sure we have close links with many organisations and groups that provide courses and workshops that strengthen parents/carers knowledge of their child/young person’s condition(s).

Empowering parents/carers with the skills they need to negotiate the maze of support that our children/young people are entitled to is just as important.

We are really proud that two members of our team, Kevin Gay and Julia Brunning, are facilitators for the Thinking Ahead workshops, which are aimed at guiding families of young people aged 16-25 through the transition into the adult world.

NHS Long Term Plan – Designated Keyworker support

In March 2022 we held a number of engagement events for parents about the NHS Long Term Plan for designated keyworkers for children/young people with autism and/or a learning disability with the most complex needs and are at risk of or are in in-patient mental health settings.  You can view the presentation that was shared.  This gives more information on the proposals.  You can also view the parental feedback that was given during the engagement events.

As always, if you have any information/feedback you would like to share with us – please do so via our Virtual Graffiti Wall – Essex Family Forum
