The National Autism Peer Education Programme will offer families and carers of autistic people high-quality and easily accessible autism education, training, and support. Essex Family Forum working in collaboration with Essex County Council have been funded by Autism Central to deliver the East of England region of the programme.
Sometimes, talking to people who share similar experiences to yours means you’re more likely to feel understood and get the help you need. That’s why the peer education programme is for parents, carers and personal assistants of autistic people.
What makes the programme unique, is that it’s run by families for families. Each session is provided by parents and carers of autistic people who are happy to share their knowledge and experience with others. They’re here to listen, offer guidance and tell you about services that are available in your local area. Use this form to submit your information to Autism Central. They will contact you with the next steps.
